Healed of Rejection and Shame – because He’s with Me.

by CCobb on July 16, 2009

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” – Hebrews 13:5-6

What a promise! To know that the Lord Jesus will never leave me, nor forsake me. Relationships can be broken so easy these days. Mistrust, hidden agendas, past hurts and hang-ups and other things scar and jepordize relationships that end up having people forsake us and yes, if we are honest we have forsaken others. But we can take great comfort, rest and trust in that the Lord will not leave or forsake.

Healed of rejection

This promise is the answer for rejection and shame. To know that the Lord is always accepting, loving, correcting, teaching, brings a confidence that regardless of where we’re at we know that He’ll be there. If we receive this truth, great healing and acceptance fills our spirit and souls to the point that regardless of what others do, we know He’ll be there.

The Lord is my helper

As a result of Him being here with us, we can boldly say, the Lord is my helper! I will not fear . . . ! The way we tell if we are healed of rejection and shame is the response that comes out of us in the times of external fears and challenges to rejection. Do we/I respond with this bold confession? We should . . . We should be able to say, I will not fear . . . what can man do to me?

Lord I make this confession today . . . that Your my/our helper. You never leave me nor forsake me. You’re always with me. And I bodly confess that I will not fear . . . what can other do to us/me today? They may try to reject, hurt or harm but in the end You’re always there next to me, with me, in me and casuing me to be victorious . . thank you!
